The HPR-70 system is a compact bench-top gas analysis system for analysis of discrete gas samples. The system includes a batch gas inlet with for sample introduction of sample volumes to 0.2 atm.cm3. Sample introduction is via a 1cm3 dosing volume. Cascade volumes enable sample expansion to a 1 litre reservoir for admission to the mass spectrometer by molecular leak. Sample introduction to the mass spectrometer ioniser is coupled to admit sample direct to the ionisation chamber providing high sensitivity closed ion source operation.
The quadrupole mass spectrometers offered in this quotation are from the Hiden RGA series and 3F Triple Filter series, providing direct PC operation through Windows® MASsoft Professional PC software.
- HAL201 RC, 200 amu mass range, with dual Faraday/Electron Multiplier detector, and a detection capability with the batch inlet from 100% to 1
- HAL/3FRC 301, type 553010, Triple filter analyser with dual Faraday/Electron Multiplier Detector. Atomic mass range 300 amu. Detection limit to 5 ppb, subject to spectral interfer
Mass spectrometers with mass range to 1000 amu are available for specialised applications.
Cart-mounting or console rack-mounting are available as alternative system configuration options to the standard compact bench-top design.
A liquid nitrogen cooled cryopanel integrated to the UHV manifold is offered as a configuration option providing significantly increased pumping speed for condensable background gases – typically water vapour and hydrocarbons- giving enhanced detection capability for these species.
