Wave system analyzes and documents vessel performance by leveraging accurate real-time measurements of:
-
- Vessel speed through water
- Fuel consumption.
- Local wind, waves, and currents
The above data indicates the exact performance of the vessel in real time over the life of a ship. In doing so, the journey can be made in an optimal way – impacting costs, fuel consumption, and carbon emissions. Meets EEXI design index requirements and reduces carbon emissions during train operations.
Overview
Accurate weather parameters and Vessel speed through water collected by wave system allow:
- Vessel owners: Have vessel performance data to calculate the EEXI index to the provisions of Annex VI of the MARPOL Convention.
- Vessel charterers/operators: From weather and wave parameters can anticipate situations, avoid fuel costs and operate ships efficiently.
Principle
Using Wavex, Miros’ radar-based technology. Radar wave and current measurement equipment help to overcome the limitations of the above conventional methods of measuring currents and waves. The device uses modern technology and algorithms to analyze image signals from X-band marine radars equipped on ships to calculate the magnitude and direction of waves and sea currents. parameters with high accuracy. Then interfere with the shaft and torque gauges, and fuel gauges [Torque, Thrust and power] on board. This gives unprecedented insight into how a vessel is performing against it.
