Light Hydrocarbon and BTEX Analysis System – airmoVOC 624

Analysis of up to 49 compounds using TO14 or PAMS methods

The airmoVOC 624 analysis system is designed to measure volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene). The device is capable of analyzing up to 49 compounds using the TO14 or PAMS methods.

Applications

Environmental Monitoring

  • Air pollution control in urban and industrial areas.
  • Indoor air quality assessment.
  • Monitoring BTEX, PAMS, and CE compounds.

Industrial Process Monitoring

  • Measurement of emissions from factories and production lines.
  • Occupational safety and industrial hygiene monitoring.
  • Fence line monitoring to control emissions at factory boundaries.

Wastewater and Ambient Air Monitoring

  • Emission control in wastewater treatment plants using the Purge and Trap method (502-2 or 524).
  • Ambient air monitoring following PAMS and TO14 standards.

Operating Principle

The system uses a valve with a single adsorbent trap and a metal capillary column, combined with a Flame Ionization Detector (FID). The analytical column is installed in a programmable temperature oven.

A key feature of the airmoVOC 624 is its thermoelectric cooling system, which regulates the sample trap temperature as needed, enabling the analysis of compounds such as Ethyne.

Sensitivity and Detection Capability

  • Minimum detection limit:
    • 10 ppt for Benzene in standard configuration (can reach 1 ppt with airmoVOC Expert version).
  • Measuring range:
    • 0.05 – 400 µg/m³ for Trimethylbenzene.
  • Relative standard deviation (RSD):
    • < 3% on concentration over 48 hours.
    • < 0.3% on retention time over 48 hours.
    • < 10% for water analysis.

Key Features

  • Compact size, high sensitivity, and easy portability for flexible use.
  • Fully integrated system from sample collection to data storage in a 19″ – 5U rack.
  • Continuous sampling using pre-concentration on an adsorbent tube.
  • Gas chromatography (GC) with a metal column and a programmable oven, equipped with a pneumatic valve to control carrier gas pressure and flow using a piezo valve.
  • Electronic pressure sensors for precise carrier gas control.
  • Quality-tested for at least one week before shipment.
  • Vistachrom software supports data display, storage, calibration, measurement configuration, data export, and calculation of retention time, peak area, mass, or concentration.

Results and Interface

  • Embedded computer running Windows with an LCD screen for data display.
  • 128 GB SSD memory for data storage.
  • Data communication options:
    • MODBUS / JBUS or MGS1 (optional).

Advanced Optionsa

  • airmoVOC Expert version with 1 ppt detection limit.
  • Automatic checking and calibration.
  • 24V power supply.
  • Hydrogen and clean air generator for portable versions.
