Auto GC‑MS C10C40

Portable Ultra‑Compact GC‑MS/FID Trap System

Auto GC‑MS C10C40 is a portable, ultra‑compact gas chromatography–mass spectrometry system specifically designed for the continuous analysis of semi‑volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) with carbon chains ranging from C10 to C40. The combination of gas chromatography (GC) technology and a quadrupole mass spectrometer (QMS) provides a turnkey integrated solution for quantifying and identifying chemicals from ppt levels up to percentages, applicable to gas, liquid, and solid samples.

Applications

  • Analyze SVOCs and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in ambient air, exhaust gases, and industrial areas.
  • Quantify contaminants extracted from solid materials such as plastics (e.g., PET), industrial oils, and other emissions.
  • Measure chemicals in gas and liquid samples for environmental monitoring and production process control.

Category:

The Auto GC‑MS C10C40 integrates two key devices:

  • airmoVOC C10C40 Expert: Handles sampling with an internal cooling system and flow control via a mass flow controller (MFC), along with a versatile sample injector for liquid or solid sample analysis.
  • Process Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (QMS): Equipped with an auxiliary pump and internal cooling system, it enables high‑sensitivity measurements ranging from percentage levels down to ppt levels.

The system is supplied with a gas generator and a calibration system (meeting ISO 17025 standards for Benzene). Following a week‑long quality control process in the QC lab, the equipment is delivered and installed by a team of professional engineers, making it easy for operators to monitor air quality and perform efficient analyses.

System Features

The Auto GC-MS C10C40 integrates advanced technologies to enable comprehensive analysis of gas, liquid, and solid samples with high accuracy. The main features and highlights include:

Comprehensive Sample Analysis

  • Supports the analysis of gas, liquid, and solid samples.

  • Quantifies compounds such as Bisphenol-A, methyl stearate, as well as alkanes up to C40 (boiling point ~522°C) and polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) up to C22, including benzo[ghi]perylene (boiling point ~550°C).

Integration of Advanced Technology

  • Equipped with a selection valve featuring a heating function for GC combined with an internal cooling system for the mass spectrometer, ensuring stable measurement performance.

  • Integrates a hydrogen generator (Hydroxychrom USB 4U) and an airmoCAL calibration system using sorbent tubes for high accuracy in analyses.

Flexible Sampling and Detection

  • Enables direct air monitoring by injecting samples into the mass spectrometer or via gas chromatography.

  • A heated sampling line combined with a flexible sample injector efficiently serves the analysis of liquid and solid samples.

Intelligent Control and Data Storage

  • Management software Vistachrom and VISTAMS allow for monitoring of the analysis process, remote sample injection control, and data storage with fully traceable chromatograms.

  • Supports QC alert setup, data export via MODBUS protocol, analog output (4–20 mA or 0–10 V), and options for online result transmission via MODBUS/JBUS or MGS1 protocols.

Expandable Options

  • Supports diverse configurations with a multi-line selector, a purge and trap system for liquid samples, and multipoint calibration via airmoCAL MFC.

  • Allows timestamping of results and detailed data export to assist in analyzing co-eluting compounds in the C6 to C10 range when GC-speciation methods are limited.
