How It Works
The RSD accurately determines the concentrations of various pollutants present in the exhaust plume of each vehicle. By integrating computer vision technology, the device also analyzes the vehicle’s characteristics and behavior, including speed and acceleration, at the time the emissions are measured.

The RSD is capable of measuring critical and regulated pollutants, providing detailed analysis of the vehicle’s exhaust. The pollutants detected include:

Each vehicle’s emission record consists of 100 measurements captured in just 0.5 seconds, providing precise data. Emissions are typically expressed in pollutant ratios to CO2, fuel-specific emissions, or even emissions per traveled distance (g/km) based on appropriate assumptions.
Automatic and Autonomous Calibration
The RSD features an automatic self-calibration system that ensures accuracy (±10%). It uses sealed internal cells with known concentrations of multiple gases to regularly verify system performance. This feature applies to both portable and fixed systems, enabling 24/7 monitoring with unattended operation. This system also ensures the validity of measurements for metrological and legal purposes, providing a method of instrument verification without the need for human intervention.
AI-Powered Visual Analysis
The RSD is equipped with Opus Sensing Drive©, a proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that provides real-time visual analysis of individual vehicles. Using the camera integrated into the RSD, the device can capture and analyze details such as:

Dual-Lane Monitoring
