ULTRA-DURABLE SUBMERSIBLE pCH4 SENSOR FOR INDUSTRIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICATIONS

The Mini CH4™ utilizes advanced infrared detection technology to measure the partial pressure of dissolved Methane (pCH4) in liquids. Conversion to dissolved Methane concentration is easily performed based on temperature and salinity values, delivering high accuracy for scientific data reporting.

Mini CH4™ Sensor System Components

  • Infrared Sensor Technology: A dedicated Methane partial pressure sensor ensures reliable data across various liquid environmental conditions.

  • Optimized Design: Compact and lightweight, the sensor integrates Total Dissolved Gas Pressure (TDGP) measurement—a parameter that significantly assists in data correction for monitoring projects.

  • High-Pressure Resistant Housing: Optional housings withstand hydrostatic pressures up to 6,000 dbar and offer chemical resistance, ensuring durable operation in corrosive environments.

  • Flexible Installation Solutions: Includes flow-through adapters or direct in-line piping installation options, facilitating quick and efficient integration into industrial systems.

Practical Applications

  • Determining baseline concentrations of dissolved Methane for extraction (hydrofracturing).

  • Groundwater and well water quality monitoring.

  • Offshore oil and gas pipeline leak detection.

  • Measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater treatment plants.

Monitoring & Analytical Capabilities

  • Portability: “Plug-and-play” design allows for rapid field deployment.

  • Stability: Reliable long-term operation, suitable for various in-depth measurement requirements.

  • Flexible Data Output: Supports multiple data output formats, including an optional integrated internal data logger and controller with 2 GB of Flash memory.

  • Personalized Customization: Pro-Oceanus and Reeco support technical customization solutions to maximize fulfillment of specific project requirements.
