OCEANOGRAPHIC SUBMERSIBLE pCO2 SENSOR

The CO2-Pro™ has been developed to lead the industry in precision and stability for fully submersible applications, delivering reliable data for extensive oceanographic research.

System Components

1. Infrared (NDIR) Sensor Technology: Utilizes infrared detection technology to precisely measure dissolved pCO2 in water, supporting standard measurement ranges from 0–600 ppm to 0–2,000 ppm, or custom ranges upon request.

2. Anti-fouling Membrane Interface: The patented sleeve interface provides three protection mechanisms: high surface shear, darkness, and solid material construction, ensuring the device remains durable and effective in biologically productive waters.

3. Automatic Zeroing Feature: An internal automatic calibration mechanism maintains long-term baseline stability, ensuring data consistency over time.

4. Data Logging & Control: Integrated internal data logger with 2GB Flash memory, supporting real-time data output without the need for complex post-processing.

Applications

  • Ocean acidification research.
  • Long-term ocean pCO2 monitoring.
  • Near-surface flux studies.
  • Continuous flow-through pCO2 measurement on research vessels.
  • CO2 flux studies in coastal regions.

Monitoring & Analysis Capabilities

1. Superior Accuracy: Devices are factory-calibrated using standard gases traceable to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

2. Smart Design: Probe temperature stabilization combined with air/gas pressure and humidity monitoring delivers unparalleled accuracy that other compact sensors cannot match.

3. Flexible Integration: The device can be customized to measure pCO2 in both water and air, and it is easily integrated into a wide variety of monitoring systems.
