ADVANCED OCEAN-ATMOSPHERE GAS EXCHANGE MONITORING SOLUTION
Measuring the partial pressure gradient of CO2 at the air-sea interface is critical to assessing the global carbon cycle. The CO2-Pro™ CV Atmosphere is an advanced technological solution from Pro-Oceanus, combining the market-leading CO2-Pro™ CV sensor with a specialized air sampling unit to deliver superior performance for monitoring campaigns.
System Components
1. Dual-Media Sensing System: High-end NDIR optical measurement chamber capable of simultaneous water and air measurements. Supports standard ranges from 0–600 ppm up to 0–10,000 ppm, customizable according to project requirements.
2. Specialized Air Sampling Unit: Equipped with a NEMA or AirBall protective housing to shield the sensor from moisture and sea salt, ensuring stable air sampling under all operating conditions.
3. Control & Compensation System: Integrated temperature stabilization for the probe, combined with air pressure and humidity compensation, allowing the device to achieve superior accuracy rarely matched by other compact submersible sensors.
4. Intelligent Data Storage: Integrated internal data logger with 2 GB Flash memory, enabling real-time data output without complex post-processing.
Applications
- Research on CO2 flux at the air-sea interface.
- Long-term ocean pCO2 monitoring at autonomous buoy stations.
- Open ocean and deep-sea research.
- CO₂ flux monitoring in coastal waters.
Monitoring & Analytical Capabilities
1. Dual-Mode Operation: Capable of full submersion underwater or flexible air-sea measurements.
2. Baseline Stability: Internal automatic zero calibration technology (Auto-Zeroing) maintains long-term baseline stability and eliminates errors.
3. WMO-Traceable Accuracy: Factory-calibrated using standard gas cylinders traceable to World Meteorological Organization (WMO) standards.
4. Portability: Compact size optimizes integration onto small observation platforms and ensures rapid field deployment.
