Pursuant to Decree 48/2020/ND-CP, the Nhon Trach port consortium in Dong Nai has successfully installed a state-of-the-art meteorological and hydrographic monitoring system. The project was carried out by Reecotech, Vietnam’s premier provider of comprehensive meteorological, hydrographic, and environmental monitoring solutions.
Phuoc Khanh Port – one of the important “gateways” of the southern region – plays an essential role in connecting transportation, supporting regional economic development, promoting industry and commerce, reducing the load on large ports, and developing local infrastructure. Previously, accurately forecasting extreme weather conditions in this area was a great challenge, causing many risks to port and vessel operations.
To ensure safety and efficient operation, this monitoring station system is equipped with modern measuring equipment, capable of continuously and accurately monitoring parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind, rain, air pressure, visibility, waves, and sea level. The collected data is processed, analyzed, and displayed in the form of graphs through the VnEmisoft software developed by Reecotech, helping users easily grasp the situation and make timely decisions.
This monitoring system allows port management to accurately forecast adverse weather conditions, thereby taking appropriate response measures to ensure the safety of vessels, cargo, and personnel. The improved weather forecasting capability helps increase port operational efficiency and minimize losses due to unexpected incidents.
The installation of the monitoring station at Phuoc Khanh Port is a significant step in modernizing the port management system, contributing to improving operational efficiency and ensuring the safety of the port and the community.
