In recent years, ensuring the quality of water for both domestic and industrial use has become increasingly important due to environmental issues such as pollution and climate change. Particularly in the downstream area of the Saigon River, pollution and saltwater intrusion have been on the rise, threatening water safety and posing significant challenges to water resource management.
According to surveys and assessments, the Saigon River, at the Hoa Phu Pumping Station, is facing severe saltwater intrusion and pollution. During the dry season, water hyacinth invades, and pollution levels increase, making water quality management more urgent than ever. Therefore, investing in a water quality monitoring system has become a top priority to protect water resources and ensure public health.
Since the beginning of this year, Reeco Science and Technology Company has been awarded the contract to install a water quality buoy monitoring system at the Hoa Phu Pumping Station. This project is implemented to meet the demand for effective water quality management in the downstream area of the Saigon River, which plays a crucial role in providing clean water for the community
Reeco’s buoy monitoring system stands out with its superior features, providing an effective solution for water quality monitoring:
-
- Real-time Monitoring: The system uses advanced sensors to accurately measure various important parameters, including pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and other indicators such as mineral oil, nitrate, and nitrite. This feature allows for the early detection of any changes in water quality, ensuring timely monitoring and adjustment.
- SCADA Integration: Data from the sensors is transmitted directly to the plant’s existing SCADA system. This not only helps to accurately monitor and display data but also allows for data storage, reporting, and alerts when abnormalities are detected, enhancing management and decision-making capabilities.
- GPS Alert Function: To enhance monitoring effectiveness, the buoy system is equipped with a GPS function. This feature accurately tracks the buoy’s location and provides alerts when the buoy moves from its installation position. This helps managers easily track and make necessary adjustments quickly and effectively.
After completing the system installation, Reecotech also organized a buoy station operation training session, helping management agencies and engineering teams master how to use the system, thereby optimizing water quality monitoring efficiency.
The completion of the buoy monitoring station installation at the Hoa Phu Pumping Station not only enhances water quality monitoring capabilities but also contributes to environmental protection and sustainable development. Reecotech is committed to providing the most advanced technological solutions to support water resource management and environmental protection.
