ChromaTCD

The ChromaTCD system is an automated gas chromatography (autoGC) device with an isothermal design, specifically developed for analyzing permanent gases and light hydrocarbons in ambient air, industrial environments, or pure gases (N₂/CO₂/O₂).

Overview

ChromaTCD is an automated gas analysis instrument used in industry. Gas samples are introduced into the system through a sampling loop and then injected into the analytical column to perform component separation. The system can employ either packed columns or capillary columns.

Application Example:

  • The first analytical column separates CH₄ and CO₂ from a mixed peak containing Ne, H₂, O₂, N₂, and CO. The remaining compounds are further separated on a second column.
  • The system operates under isothermal conditions.
  • The Wheatstone bridge of the Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) is supplied with a stable voltage, and the automatic injection valve ensures that the sample injection is performed accurately.
  • In the standard configuration, column temperature and system cleaning methods can be programmed.

The Vistachrom software allows for real-time data monitoring and storage on a computer. Additionally, the software supports recalculation tools, calibration, data export, and measurement method setup. The system is capable of calculating retention time, peak area, mass, or concentration of the analyzed components.
